My most expensive pedicure in my life

as our tummies are getting bigger..it's really hard to trim our toe nails..

actually I still have some packages left with FaveNails at Cityhall..but coz of the location, been very lazy to visit them.. untill my nails were getting longer and dead skin were piling up.. (Hub will react tremendously if my feet accidentally brushed across his legs..that's how bad it is..haah)

I stumbled across Nail Palace at Sun Plaza, and the best it's near my home too.. actually wanted to do a basic pedicure..but their treatment for dead skin feet tempted me to try..

it's $215!! but there's FOC classic pedicure, scrub and wax..

when the sales lady broke down the package for me..it was then I realised that solution she puts on the cotton wool and spread it at my leg with a heated foot bag alone cost $215!! She told me that solution is from Germany..but coz of the price..they throw in alot of FOC as stated above..

after putting on the solution for about 10-15mins..she began to scrub my feet..I can really see tons and tons of dead skin!!..and after the scrub and hot wax..I can immediately see the effects..my feet became softer!!

BUT not to forget she did make a small cut at my toes..she thought she can further cut my skin deeper..lucky just a bit of blood..

She did pyscho me to take up their package..using credit card..I can pay $126 with the same treatment etc for 10times usuage.. of coz I can go ahead and sign it..but the words from Hub keep coming into my mind..that I need to consult him whatever stuff and not to waste $$..after declining and declining their offer..the lady went to whisper to her colleague..and she came back again with another better offer..I told her thanks for her offer..but I rather turned down their good offer than have a lashing from Hub..hahahaha

surprisingly Hub agreed to it..but I declined the offer even though..

I like this place as in they got TV and big sofas for you to relax..and near my house is a bonus too..and 11 outlets too!! there's even 1 outlet near my work place..Tg Pagar MRT!! Staff were friendly also..

so in the meantime I gotta take good care of my feet..will be applying feet cream and wearing socks to sleep every night!!

NIVEA - Angel Star Soft Soufflé

came across this product yesterday at Watson's..the packaging is just so sweet..even the smell also..raspberry scent somemore...

so decided to try it..anyway its $6.90 only..

this is my 1st time I came across a cream that looks like yoghurt..and when I applied to my body..it immediately dissolved into my skin..leaving no sticky feeling!! I targetted most at my elbows..been neglecting it for so long

my skin feels so soft and it really make you smell so nice that you will want to eat yourself up..haha..joking..I wonder will they be coming out this product specially for babies also??

I've bought their mineral loose powder @ $36 which is cheaper than John Little. (now this site is giving free brush!!)

Usually I would need to blot off my face oil 2 times per day. But after using this product, I only blotted off my oil in the afternoon (the oil on my face also seems lesser)..and the remaining whole evening, my face was still smooth and soft..not so much of oil..

Are you using Expired Make Up??

Expired skincare and cosmetics products not only become less effective, but they can also be contaminated with bacteria. This increases the risk of skin infections and irritation such as dermatitis, itch and ski redness. Bacteria that is present in the air is transferred onto cosmetic products. Bacteria is also transferred by touching the product with unclean hands or with an unclean applicator or brush.

Lifespan

Mascara: 3 mths
When removing the wand from the tube, pull it out in 1 smooth motion instead of pumping the wand to pick up the product. Pumping the wand will trap more air in the tube, which will cause the mascara to dry faster.

Liquid and gel eyeliner: 3-6 mths
Never share cosmetics, especially eye products with someone else as germs from 1 person will be passed to the next, leading to a greater risk of infection. After a bout of eye infection, such as conjunctivitis, throw away your eye products and get new ones. Insert your contact lenses before applying make up and take them out before removing your make up to prevent your eye make up (which could have some bacteria on it) from getting onto your lenses. Cap the products tightly after use to keep them from drying.

Liquid foundation: 1 yr
Most liquid foundation comes in pump bottle, which is more hygienic. Still do wipe the tip of the pump after each use to get rid of residual product as bacteria can grow on to it and you will transfer this to your face the next time you use your foundation.

Lipstick/Lipgloss/Lip Balm: 1-1 1/2 yrs
Due to the wax content in lipsticks, they are more prone to melting in warm weather, so keep rarely used tubes in the fridge. If you use your lipsticks, glosses and balms frequently, keep them in a cool and dry place away from the direct sunlight and from sudden temperature changes as this will alter their composition. Use and unscented make up remover wipe to clean youe lipstick tips, as well as gloss and balm applicators, preferably after each use or at least once a week.

Creams (foundation, eyeshadow, blush): 1-1 1/2 yrs
As these products usually come in pots or tubs, avoid touching the product with your fingers as you will transfer bacteria to it. Use a clean brush or applicator or sterilise hands with a hand sanitiser before touching the product.

Powder (pressed powder, loose powder, eyeshadow, blush, blonzer): 1-1 1/2 yrs
Although dry powder-based products are less susceptible to bacteria and mould, you should still avoid touching them with your fingers as you can transfer moisture and germs from your fingers to the product, causing it to become breeding ground for bacteria. Use brushes or applicators instead.

Pencils (eyeliner and lipliner): 2-3 yrs
Sharpen your pencils regularly to keep the pencil tips clean and free of dirt, facial oil and bacteria. In between sharpening, you can keep your pencils clean by using make-up remover to wipe the tips.

SKINCARE
Cream (moisturiser, eye cream): 1 yr
It is best to get creams in a pump bottle or squeeze tube rather then in a tub to keep them as clean as possible and less prone to bacteria growth.

Liquids (cleanser, toner): 1 yr If the contents of your liquid potions have separated, this means than the composition of the contents have degenerated and you should throw them away. Do not shake the bottle to remix the contents and continue using it.

Sunblock: 1 yr
The chemicals in sunscreens break down more easily than other cosmetics at high temperatures, which renders them ineffective. So store them at room temperature away from sunlight. If you take your sunscreen with you to the beach, stash it in the drinks cooler.

CARE TIPS FOR TOOLS Brushes
- Use a specially formulated brush cleanser such as Bobbi Brown's Conditioning Brush Cleanser or baby shampoo to clean your brushes.
- Clean them once a week if you use them daily, or fortnightly otherwise.
- Work a small amount of cleanser onto the damp brush heads, then rinse thorougly with water.
- Pat them dry with a towel and reshape them if necessary.
- Let the brushes dry lying flat to prevent water from dripping into the wooden shafts, which will loosen the glue holding the bristle together.
- Store brushes in a brush roll or in an upright cup to prevent additional pressure or weight from distorting the shape of the brush head.
P/S: Super leh chey..but no choice...

Eyelash Curler
- Apply brush cleanser onto a cotton pad and lightly rub it on the rubber pad of the eyelash curler and metal edges to remove and residual make up to prevent bacteria from growing. It is best to clean it daily with tissue paper and once a week with make up remover.
- Replace the rubber padding every 6mths or when the padding is torn, to prevent your lashes from snagging on it.

Make Up Sponges
- Add a few drops of facial cleanser, baby shampoo or brush cleanser to a bowl of water.
- Place your sponges in the bowl and let it soak for a few mins. Swish the sponges around to remove stubborn make up.
- Rinse the sponges under running water until there are no more suds and leave to dry. - Wash them weekly if youuse them daily, or else fortnightly.
P/S: I've got tons of baby shampoo now..who wants it??

GENERAL TIPS
- There is a symbol of a container bearing a number on the packaging of most products. This number refers to the no. of mths the product can be kept once it's opened. In general, if a product is unopened, you can keep it for 3 to 5 yrs from its date of manufacture, which is printed on the packaging.

- Once you open a product, attach a small stickerwith the expiration date on the product. - Store beauty products away from direct light exposure. Keep them at room temperature instead of in the car or bathroom as fluctuating temperatures will cause the products to deteriorate at a faster rate.

- Buy products in pump bottles as far as possible - they are more hygienic as they keep products from coming into direct contact with your fingers or the atmosphere.

- If your product comes in a clear glass or plastic container, use aluminium foil to wrap the container to reduce its exposure to light, which can cause certain light-sensitive ingredients to break down.
P/S: sure a not..super leh chey x 100 eh..might as well buy those well covered!!

- If a product turns mouldy, throw it away. Do not remove the mould and continue using it.
P/S: common sense!!

- If a product's consistency thickens, settles and separates or has a distinct odour, discard it.
P/S: common sense too!!! unless nose is spoilt..

Being a Mummy

I've seen alot of preggies with no make up, standard 'obiang' (old fashion) maternity wear and unkept hair..

So I told myself I won't be like them..anyway before I was pregnant..I was already putting on make up..Pinky was the one who said woman must always look good..even perfect features also need make up..

I don't believe in putting make up / skin products will harm the baby..the skin won't absorb much of the chemicals on your face and down to the blood stream to your baby unless you dont wash your face and leave the products on your face forever there!! coz the hormones in us will change..our face will be more proned to dullness or pimples..eyecream/mask is a must for me now coz of the frequent visits to the toilet at night..my panda eyes are getting more obvious..facial scrub + mask is a every week thingy for me also..not to forget hair mask!!!

IF YOU LOOK GOOD, YOUR BABY WILL LOOK GOOD ALSO!! :)~~

But I do avoid certain heavy facial products which contains retinol etc..and spicy food too..

I know being pregnant will make you more tired but that doesn't mean you can be lazy on your appearance.. anyway this only provide if you are GOING OUT, it's only at home you can rest and no need to make up / dress up also..BUT if you do so..you really earn my respect..of being a super hardworking mom!! hahah

There's a mummy who told me preggies can't put on make up coz just in case you fainted, they can access how pale your face/lips are..I mean if fainted means fainted..don't have to categorise so much..just send me to hospital can already ah!!

Even after giving birth, there are no excuses also!!..still have to look good and keep in shape!! coz few years down the road, you'll regret for not losing weight and your kids will call u fat mama (I've already prepared my losing weight gear - Jamu massage, tons of getting rid of cellulite scrubs, wraps, products from Osim..but of coz I still need to go and exercise)..and hub will tend to look at other girls..sad but it's the truth in this era...so next life ask to be a man better right?? BUT I still enjoy being a WOMAN!!! whahahaah

Oh ya and 1 important point..being pregnant doesn't mean you can eat whatever you want..it's wrong that your thinking is that you are eating for two..always eat the right healthy stuff in moderation..or small frequent meals..lucky those petite size mummies also..will get back to their shape in no time..but if you are not..gotta watch what you eat already!!

as for maternity clothings..I won't be getting it also coz I think it's a waste, so far I'm still wearing my normal clothes, those maxi dresses, am so lucky I can still fit into a size M dress.. it's only my pants I'm upgrading to L size!! sianz!!!!

Natalie Portman - hot mama..OUR MOTIVATION!! - you all must be saying they are celebrities..of coz must look good always..But I've seen a very gorgeous mummy..tall with good figure with her kid on the MRT..I was like WOW!!!!

SO STOP GIVING EXCUSES!!!!! the attention you get will be different!!

P/S: a Subway auntie praised me that I will be having a very beautiful baby coz I looked beautiful also..and some also praised me for still looking so radiance!!..talk about the hardwork I put in looking good..whahaha..

Fashion Police Alert - Tights and Pants

I wonder why some woman can't differentiate between Tights and Pants.. although I'm not a fashion guru myself..but there's bound to be trial and error..if you really can sense something wrong with your fashion..IT IS!! better change before going out..

for me Tights are supposed to be wear over long tees..unless there's a new trend..or correct me if I'm wrong.. they are not call Tights for nothings..Tights means TIGHT!!!

if the tights you are wearing are showing your ugly VPL (even G string is a big no no..)will attract more ppl looking at your butt..and FATS..and even CAMEL TOES..the more you shouldn't wear short tees over it..

the only ppl I know who wear short tees with tights are those dancers..with of coz good figure and matching accessories..

As I was searching stuff in SMH..I realised that the kids in this era are just so FORTUNATE!! Parents would buy anything just to please their bb/kids..

I really can't remember having such stuff in my childhood..I know I can't compare my era with theirs also..haha

How fast can you shop before your man comes? 10mins for me..at Forever 21..

Hub asked me to wait for him at 313 Somerset where he went to park his car nearby..

I walked into Forever 21 shop..and within 10mins..

I took 1 top and 2 dresses (from 1st level to 2nd level) + made payment + salesguy wanted to psycho me to become their member (means buy more ah) + waiting for him to give me my vouchers before my Hub comes and lectured me.. hahaha..

Demin dress from Espirit

it was loved at 1st sight when I saw it at Causeway Pt Espirit shop..

a demin dress..but it was much hesitation that I finally got it at Vivo..

can't see much of the details coz I was wearing a cardi over it..and super dark also..haha

bought it at $129.90..was told a $150 is needed to be a member..but I told them I hardly buy their stuff..but was given a $20 voucher..

2 wks later..Espirit signboard put: $110 to become a member!! with $20 voucher given!!
